Hill Top Surgery provides a travel vaccination and advice clinic for its registered patients.
Ideally we need 4 weeks notice in order to give the vaccinations you may require. We ask for this notice period as some vaccines need a few weeks to take effect, we may not have in stock the vaccine you require and finally we may not have your medical records to see what you have had done previously.
If you are going away on holiday and need travel vaccinations please follow the instructions below.
- Call into the surgery and pick up a travel vaccination form. We ask that you complete the form with as much information as you can on this form to help our Nurse who runs this clinic. Once the form is complete please hand it back in at reception or post it in to us
- Our Nurse will then review the form, see what vaccines you will need for your destination and check your records for any previous vaccinations (if we do not have your records it may take a little longer). Our nurse will either contact you to go through the form with you in a bit more detail or to book an appointment.
- At the appointment you will be given the vaccines and then be given chance to discuss any other travel questions you may have.
- Please be aware that some you may be charged for some vaccines and you will have to pay for a prescription for anti-malarials tablets. For more info on our fees please click here
