At Hill Top Surgery we provide a wide range of appointment times including times outside normal office hours. We do not restrict the ability of patients to book their appointments in advance where this is appropriate, and appointments can be booked at least six weeks ahead.
You can also book to have a telephone consultation with a doctor. Simply ask at reception.
When you attend an appointment, please let reception know that you have arrived and wait to be seen.
How do I make an appointment?
You can either drop into the Centre and arrange an appointment face to face, or call our reception on: 0161 655 7434
If you have already registered as a patient at the Middleton Health Centre, you can also take advantage of our online appointments.
We offer a traffic light appointment system which allows our patients to book the most appropriate appointment for them
RED (Urgent) – These appointments are for patients who need to be seen the same day. Red appointments cannot be booked in advance and can only be booked on the day. Not available online
ORANGE (Non-urgent) – These are made available to patients two days before the appointment (I.E Wednesdays appointments are realeased on a Monday). Will be made available online when released two days before appointment.
GREEN (Routine) – Green appointments have no restrictions and can be booked up to 6 weeks in advanced. Can be booked online
Book an Appointment
We can now offer patients the convenience of booking appointments online, with a unique username and password.
The online appointment system will allow you to book and cancel Doctors appointments and telephone consultations up to 6 weeks in advance – all from the comfort of your own home.

Text Message Reminder Service
We now offer our regular patients a text messaging reminder service. Once registered, a text message will be sent 24 hours before your appointment as a reminder. Patients will also have the ability to cancel the appointment by simply replying to the text message.
