Community Events

At Hill Top Surgery we don’t just want to give out prescriptions but love being an active part of the community and believe that being in community is good for your health.

Every Wednesday Carole Hill our Healthcare Assistant and Community Advocate runs a social drop-in called Inspire at the Villages centre where anyone can come to make friends, join in with an activity and have fun.

Each Monday Carole and Kelly from the Eden Youth Project also run Baby Boogies where pre-school children can dance and boogie with their parents for exercise and fun and a story. This is also run at the Villages Centre on Fircroft Road.

Each year we hold a Community Funday with a Bouncy Castle, Face painting, tombola, BBQ, and this year our friends from Inspire ran our Tea and Cake tent.  This is in partnership with the Eden Youth Project and Salvation Army.

We also had the priveledge to honour 7 of our patients who have made very positive steps towards improving their own health and that of their families through our Patient of the Year Awards.

After last year’s success we will also be holding our annual Christmas Carol Service. More details to follow on this year’s celebrations shortly.

Last year our Community Nurse in conjunction with the Salvation Army oversaw the delivering of Christmas Hampers to local families who really need and appreciate an extra gift at Christmas. The Surgery will again be able to accept donations for these hampers. If you have any items you would like to contribute please give these to reception.

If you have any questions about our community events or would like a representative to come to your local gathering to give information on any aspect of health please contact the surgery.
